Key takeaways
  • You pay in naira through Flutterwave and receive dollars in your wallet.
  • The rate and the fee are shown before you confirm.
  • Top-ups can be from ₦1,000 to ₦1,000,000 at a time.

Funding is the one step where naira becomes dollars, so it's worth understanding exactly what happens.

Step by step

  1. In the app, choose Fund wallet and enter how much naira you want to pay.
  2. You'll see the exchange rate, the fee and the dollar amount you'll receive. Nothing is charged yet.
  3. Confirm, and you're taken to a secure Flutterwave checkout. Pay by card, bank transfer or USSD.
  4. Once the payment clears, the dollars land in your Randzify wallet.

Working out what you'll get

The maths is simple: the funding fee comes off the naira amount, and the rest is converted at the day's rate. Here is an example using a 3% fee and a rate of ₦1,490 to $1. Today's rate is always shown in the app.

You pay₦100,000
Fee (3%)− ₦3,000
Converted₦97,000
Rate₦1,490 = $1
You get$65.10
