7 habits that keep your dollar card safe online
Simple things that stop most card fraud before it starts, and what to do if something looks wrong.
- Keep only what you need on each card and freeze cards you're not using.
- Never share your card details, password or one-time codes with anyone who contacts you.
- Check your transactions weekly and report anything you don't recognise straight away.
Most card fraud isn't sophisticated hacking. It's a leaked card number, a reused password or a convincing message asking for a code. These seven habits close almost all of those doors.
1. Keep balances small
Load your card with what you plan to spend and keep the rest in your wallet. If a card's details ever leak, the damage is limited to what's on it.
2. Use separate cards
You can hold up to three cards on Randzify. Use one for subscriptions, one for shopping and one for anything you're unsure about. A problem on one card doesn't touch the others.
3. Freeze what you're not using
Freezing takes one tap and stops every new charge on that card. Unfreeze it when you need it again.
4. Protect your login
Use a strong password you don't use anywhere else, and turn on two-factor sign-in in your security settings.
5. Never share codes
Randzify will never call, text or message you asking for your password, card details or one-time codes. Anyone who does is trying to steal from you, however official they sound.
6. Shop on sites you trust
Check the website address before you enter card details, and be careful with deals that seem too good to be true. Fake shops copy real brands closely.
7. Check your transactions weekly
A quick look at your card's activity once a week helps you spot anything strange early.
If something looks wrong
- Freeze the card immediately from the app.
- Change your password.
- Contact support with the transaction details.
